Swiss waterways have a combined length of 74'700km- That is almost twice of the circumference of the earth. This interactive webmap explores Swiss waterways, their hierachical order and the relation to human settlements. All data is queried from an SQL Geodatabase and transformed into a JavaScript array in php. Data obtained from the Bundesamt für Umwelt (BAFU).
